Alex is an accomplished quantitative scientist. With over 40 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including 20 years in financial services, Alex developed innovative self-evolving investment strategies powered by Genetic Algorithms and other Machine Learning techniques. Previously, Alex consulted for some of the largest multi-billion-dollar hedge funds in the US and Canada. His diverse knowledge across mathematics, psychology, and engineering allowed Alex to develop cutting-edge algorithms and automated trading systems. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the A.F. Mozhaisky Military Space Engineering Academy in St. Petersburg and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Belarusian State University of Transport. Earlier in his career, Alex designed and implemented AI-based telemetric systems for communication and geo-positioning satellites. As a result, he was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize – the highest government award for achievement by a scientist under the age of 33. Alex now holds over 22 international patents, including those for electronic ballasts wildly used around the world today.
