Andrew Janian

Head of Cloud and Platform Engineering, Core Engineering, and Equities Engineering Citadel

Andrew is Head of Cloud and Platform Engineering, Core Engineering, and Equities Engineering at Citadel. In this role, he is responsible for the development of technology frameworks and data solutions that serve Citadel’s Global Equities, Surveyor, and Ashler businesses around the world. Prior to joining the firm, Andrew spent 13 years at Two Sigma, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles, including Head of Data Engineering and Chief Information Officer. During his time at Two Sigma, Andrew played a key part in building out market access and execution platforms, regulatory and risk architectures, and the firm’s software development environment. Andrew is a member of the Advisory Board for the Quant Strats conference. Previously, he served on the board of Crux Informatics and as an advisor to Uncharted Power. Andrew received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
