Edward is a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer in the Investment Management Group at Vanguard focusing on ESG quantamentals, machine learning for equity factor modelling, and AI/ML explainability. He recently wrote a research paper, “Tactical ESG Investing Using Reinforcement Learning”. He has extensive experience analyzing ESG stocks, managing global macro portfolios, munging data, and building and optimizing explainable machine learning models. He holds an MS in Operations Research and a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University and is currently in the Stanford Department of Materials Science Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies program. He is also a CFA UK ESG Investing Certificate holder, a CFA Charterholder and Chartered Market Technician, and is AWS Machine Learning Certified.
