Greg Skibiski is a thought leader in the field of mobile location and sensor data technologies. He focuses on innovating products and services that utilize big data to better understand human behavior. As a senior executive, Skibiski has managed sales, business development, R&D, and implementation projects in 25 countries.
Prior to founding Thasos in 2011, Skibiski was the Founder, CEO and Chairman of Sense Networks, Inc., a New York based company that uses machine learning technology to create actionable business insights from large quantities of mobile phone location and carrier call pattern data, for customers like Verizon. The company was acquired by YP (Cerberus/AT&T).
A highly respected industry commentator, Skibiski has been an invited speaker at The Aspen Institute, The Milken Institute Global Conference, Web 2.0 Summit, the Emerging Communications Conference, Where 2.0, SIBOS, Telco 2.0, PICNIC, the Marketing 2.0 and Social Media Conference, Mobile 2.0, and SAP Sapphire. Following a presentation at the 2009 World Economic Forum, Sense Networks was nominated as a WEF Technology Pioneer.
Skibiski is the lead inventor on three patent applications: System and Method of Performing Location Analytics (US 20090307263), Comparing Spatial-Temporal Trails in Location Analytics (US 20100079336), and Anomaly Detection in Sensor Analytics (US 20100082301), and has a FCC Technician Class license (N1NJW).
Skibiski holds an MBA from HEC Paris, a BS in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University, and has studied relationship psychology at the Orv Owens Institute.
